A recent research team attached GPS trackers to a group of pet cats to track their whereabouts when their owners were not around or sleeping. The daily movements of the pet cats surprised many owners. Take a peek below.
We’ve spoken out of this blog multiple times about the dangers outdoor cats are exposed to when they roam. Here’s a gps tracking study that shows exactly how far from their ‘safe home base’ outdoor cats in Wales actually go in just one night.
“When you speak to a lot of cat owners they say: “Oh my cat just (…) doesn’t go anywhere.” (…) Some of the cats have “gone three kilometeres from home”.”
This cat went in such a straight line it can only have been following a major road for a long period.
This cat went more than a kilometer into the wilderness at night, potentially exposing itself to all sorts of urban and rural predators.
This cat traveled repeatedly through the yards of other houses as well as spending a good amount of time in the middle of the road.
Don’t think your cat travels? It does. Keep your cats indoors. Keep them safe.
For people who don’t read the article, what happened was that it was found that girls from 70 Australian schools were targeted by a porn site, with guys requesting pictures of specific girls and stuff.
The girl’s school, instead of lecturing the boys about treating their female peers like objects and posting pornography of girls as young as 12, decided to lecture the girls about makeup and and skirt length.
I’m so proud of this girl for standing up for herself and her peers!

This needs to be spread around like fucking wildfire because it should not be acceptable for boys to objectify girls like this and then grow up thinking it’s okay. IT IS NOT OKAY. Shit like this has happened way too many times and it’s been going on for way too long. I hate having to get told to pull down my shorts around my uncles and cousins and shit like that purely because there are people out here that think it’s inappropriate for girls to show at least a little thigh and they fucking objectify them. I go around my school having to cover my shoulders while a boy can go around in a cut off sleeve shirt that shows his nipples. Yes, this has happened and no, he did not get dress coded for it. This shit has to stop now.

idk if this is exactly related but another fucked up thing the US government did is that they granted immunity to nazis who conducted fatal human experiments so they could use the data obtained from them. Just look up Unit 731 on Wikipedia and you’ll be able to read about it (some of the experiments in the “Activities” tab are extremely graphic. just a warning.)
